My name is Matt Fiore, and I’m the second-generation owner of West Side Movers.

I grew up around our retail store selling boxes and moving supplies, and the office where everything was coordinated day to day.

My dad, Steve, started the company in 1972 with one truck and a belief that doing the job properly still mattered.

Over time, that approach built something lasting:
a company New Yorkers trusted inside their homes.

Today, we continue that work with the same standards we were raised on.

My mother Joanne always reminded us that moving affects people long before the truck arrives.

Being professional was never just about moving furniture.

It meant being prepared.
Communicating clearly.
Showing up respectfully inside someone else’s home.

Those were simply the expectations in our family business.

And they still shape how we work today.
